长岛之声合唱团是正式注册并获得501(c)(3)免税资格的非营利机构。合唱团由一群音乐爱好者在沈海华教授的提倡带领下初创，并由沈教授担任首任艺术总监。现任艺术总监为中国国家一级演员女高音歌唱家周灵燕女士。她用专业标准指导排练和演出，将合唱团的艺术水平提到了新的高度。

合唱团多年来一直活跃在纽约地区，积极参加当地文化活动并举办过多场专场音乐会，受到社区的欢迎和好评。团员们从事不同职业，但对声乐表演艺术有着共同热爱，并致力于服务社区，让合唱团成为一个有特色的高素质的合唱表演艺术团体。合唱团在排练演出之余，还组织各类轻松愉快的活动，为团员们提供一个以歌会友，增加生活乐趣，改善身心健康的平台。

Sound of Long Island Chorus is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.   The chorus was initially founded by a group of music enthusiasts under the advocacy and leadership of Professor Shen Haihua, who served as the first Artistic Director. The current Artistic Director is Ms. Zhou Lingyan, a renowned Chinese soprano singer.  Under her professional guidance, the artistry of the chorus has been elevated to a new level.

For many years, the chorus has been actively involved in cultural events in the New York area and has held many special concerts, which have been very well received by the community.  Although the members are engaged in different professions, they share a common passion for vocal music and are committed to serving the community, thus making the chorus a distinctive and high-quality choral performing arts group. In addition to rehearsals and performances, the chorus also organizes various enjoyable activities, providing members with a platform to make friends through singing, enhance their life enjoyment, and improve physical and mental health.
